Vaping Statistics and Safety White Paper By Brad McLaughlin CEO of BudTrader.com

As of 2018 over 41,000,000 people actively vaped in the US and by 2021 that number will be 55,000,000. It’s a fair estimate that roughly 42,000,000 people currently vape as of November 15, 2019 in the US.
As of November 15, 2019, 42 people have died from vaping.
Meaning if you vape, you have a:
1 in around a 1,000,000 chance of death due to vaping
42,000,000 people who vape in the US as of November 15, 2019
42 deaths due to vaping in the US as of November 15, 2019
42/42,000,000 = 1,000,000 to 1 chance of death due to vaping
399 deaths in 2017 from plane crashes - roughly 10 x as likely to die in a plane v vaping
1 out of 1,222,000 chance of death by lightning v chance of death from vape 1 out of 1,000,000
1 out of 77 chance of death from car crash v  chance of death from vape 1 out of 1,000,000
1 out of 77 chance of death from firearm v chance of death from vape 1 out of 1,000,000
1 out of 53 chance of death from poison v chance of death from vape 1 out of 1,000,000
1 in 34 chance of death from alcohol or drugs  v chance of death from vape 1 out of 1,000,000
1 in 821 chance of death from a fire v chance of death from vape 1 out of 1,000,000
1 in 4 chance of death from heart disease v chance of death from vape 1 out of 1,000,000
1 in 11,500,000 chance of death from shark attack v chance of death from vape 1 out of 1,000,000
Vaping is as dangerous as getting struck by lightning or crashing in and airplane 10 times. You’ll most likely die from alcohol, drugs, heart disease, firearms and car crashes thousands of times before you die from vaping, statistically speaking. The 42 deaths due to vaping are tragic but they were also 100% preventable and could even be called a statistical anomaly considering that 42,000,000 vapers have consumed billions and billions of vape cartridges this year alone. I’m willing to admit that even 1 death is too many deaths due to vaping and that the guilty parties need to be brought to justice. I’m willing to admit that more research is needed to study the long term effects of vaping. But I’m unable and unwilling to say today that vaping is dangerous for adults.
